Students from the Department of Electrical Technology, University College Ratmalana, successfully participated in Techno Titans 2025, a robotics competition held on 24th October 2025 at the University College of Anuradhapura. The competition aimed to promote innovation, teamwork, and practical engineering skills through the design and operation of handmade robots.

Techno Titans 2025 featured two main events: the Sumo Bot Battle and the Obstacle Challenge. University College Ratmalana took part with two handmade battle robots, representing a collaborative effort between the 22nd and 24th batches of the Department of Electrical Technology. The 24th batch competed with Sumo King, while the 22nd batch designed and operated Trical Bot.

The Sumo Bot Battle tested robot strength, pushing power, stability, and control accuracy under strict technical regulations, including a maximum robot weight of 1 kg, a 12 V battery power supply, wireless remote-control operation, and a three-minute battle duration. With participation from over 30 robots from various institutes, the competition was highly competitive. The Trical Bot, designed and operated by L. De E. Helindu Nimsara of the 22nd batch, secured 3rd Place
